Each Lakeside Photo Adventure session lasts approximately 90 minutes.

1. Welcome and Check-In — 10 minutes

Families will check in, receive their photo-challenge card and collect any included activity materials. Film Explorer families will also receive their labelled disposable camera.

2. Camera Basics and Safety Briefing — 10 minutes

Young photographers will learn a few simple tips for composing a photograph, using their camera and noticing interesting details. We will also review the event boundaries and important park-safety rules.

3. Lakeside Photo Challenge — 35 minutes

Children and their caregivers will explore the designated area of Lakeside Park together while completing a creative photo scavenger hunt. Challenges will encourage participants to find interesting colours, shapes, textures, reflections and nature-inspired designs.

Caregivers must remain with and actively supervise their children throughout the park exploration.

4. Camera Return and Regrouping — 5 minutes

Families will return to the Little Makers Club activity area. Disposable cameras will be collected, checked and prepared for processing.

5. Decorate a Keepsake Photo Frame — 20 minutes

Each child will decorate a special cardboard photo frame using colourful, age-appropriate craft materials. Once the event photographs are ready, families can place their selected printed photograph inside.

6. Creative Sharing and Certificates — 10 minutes

Young photographers will have an opportunity to share their favourite discovery from the challenge. Each participant will receive a Junior Photographer certificate, and families can learn more about The Little Makers Club’s upcoming creative programs.

Activity times may shift slightly to accommodate the group, weather and park conditions.
